You might wonder how a national holiday could possible be a secondary loss. They roll around every year, right when they’re supposed to.

Yeah, like a steamroller.

​Rod died six days before Thanksgiving and 10 days before we were supposed to leave on a  trip to Israel, both of which we talked about in the hospital just two days before he died. We didn't even talk about Thanksgiving.
